POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Electrical Engineering Co-op to join our dynamic Engineering team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the design, implementation, and support of electrical systems for advanced machine tools and automation solutions. The co-op will work closely with our experienced engineers on a variety of projects, contributing to both the design and practical aspects of our offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the creation and modification of electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Provide support in the design and development of electrical interfaces for machine tool options and accessories.
  • Participate in the assembly and testing of electrical components and systems.
  • Contribute to the troubleshooting and resolution of electrical issues on machine tools and automation equipment.
  • Support the engineering team with various tasks related to project execution and documentation.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, controls, and production teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.

required skills/abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of fundamental electrical engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with CAD software for electrical design is a plus.
  • Hands-on aptitude and a willingness to work with electrical hardware.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive attitude and a strong desire to learn.
