The YBM Vi50 is YASDA’s flagship 5-axis machining center, satisfying the demand for large milling capabilities. The Vi50 builds on the success of the versatile, high-precision 5-axis YBM Vi40.
The YBM Vi50 has been created from the same design concept as the Vi40, which is ideal for hard-to-mill cold forging dies and high surface finish injection molds. These attributes also make it adept at high precision and challenging machining across various large part applications.

Features & Benefits
- While based on traditional structure, YBM Vi50 adapts slant construction for its Y-axis guideways, which minimizes spindle overhang and saddle weight and ensures the straightness of Y-axis. This approach enhances dynamic accuracy by optimizing the low center of gravity of the bridge and the lighter saddle.
- YASDA’s in house built high-precision and rigid rotary table equipped with a DD (Direct Drive) motor enables simultaneous 5-axis machining as well as hard milling. Minimizing the effect of indexing error on machining accuracy by positioning the table surface closer to A-axis’s center of rotation.
- Measures against thermal displacement have been developed based on YASDA’s long experience and technological advancements. YASDA’s thermal distortion stabilizing system blocks rapid thermal distortion and maintains stable high precision machining. To minimize thermal displacement caused by 5-axis movement, a dedicated temperature control unit is utilized for the A/C table.
