Fanuc

Fanuc Corporate Compound
With almost 60 years of experience in the development of computer numerical control equipment, more than 19.5 million systems installed worldwide and more than 5,200 employees, Fanuc is the leading global manufacturer of factory automation.

Founded by Dr. Seiuemon Inaba in 1956, the history of Fanuc has been recognized as the history of CNC itself. Headquartered at the base of Japan’s Mount Fuji, Fanuc is the world’s leading manufacturer of numerical control (NC) equipment for machine tools. Evolving from a single piece of automated machinery in the late 1950s to the automation of entire production lines in the following decades, Fanuc delivered the first electrical pulse motor, programmed a numerical control for it and put it into a machine tool, making history.

With over 2,000 robots in their production lines, Fanuc is the most automated production facility in the industry. As a result, they are able to supply customers with tried, tested and proven products. The company offers the most complete range of innovative industry-leading products and services for robotics, CNC systems and factory automation solutions.

Fanuc helps maximize manufacturers’ efficiency, reliability, quality and profitability. Fanuc’s flexible CNC systems and solutions provide everything needed for CNC, from the industry’s most powerful, user-friendly controls to high-performance control systems for complex machines.

With more than 2.4 million CNC controls and 250,000 robots installed worldwide, FANUC is committed to pushing the boundaries of automation and helping its customers fully optimize their production processes.

Vertical Machining Centers | Fanuc RoboDrill

Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs), a machine shop staple, are milling machines that feature vertically oriented spindles that approach workpieces mounted on their table from above and commonly perform 3-axis machining operations. Milling is a machining process of using rotary cutters to remove metal from a workpiece.

EDM | Fanuc RoboCut

EDM or Electrical Discharge Machining, also known as spark machining, spark eroding, burning, die sinking, wire burning or wire erosion, is a manufacturing process where a workpiece shape is achieved by using electrical discharges. The electrical current is passed between an electrode and a workpiece, and the spark discharge erodes it to form the desired final form.
